Construction of Century City/Windermere station
I noticed over the weekend that construction of Windermere/Century City station is underway.
I received the following information:
The project should be completed in May 2010 and will provide a dedicated and secure pedestrian route directly into Century City. New steps and an underpass will be provided for pedestrians to walk under the N1 onramp and the railway line through a security manned entrance near the back of Ratanga Junction. CCTV will also be provided.
This is great news for pedestrians and motorists in terms of safety. In the mean time, keep your eyes open for pedestrians running across the road.
